information project

Located in a forest and near a lake, a dated family home from the 1970s was transformed by opening up and intersecting its spaces. A new glass corridor, flanked by outdoor terraces, connects the house with a newly realised wooden volume. Inspired both by early northern European architecture and the work of Alvar Aalto, the house digresses from the dominant discourse of orthodox Modernism to forge a connection with its context and natural surroundings.
