Exhibition SBK 60 years

To celebrate SBK’s 60th anniversary, Maurice van Bakel decided to fill a 900m2 former baggage hall with seven impressive freestanding pavilions. The pavilions were made from wooden frames covered with semi-transparent textile. With an integrated line of tube lights, the pavilions appeared as light cubes with randomly arranged artworks throwing mysterious shadows. Visitors could follow a yellow carpet path to discover all the pavilions. At the end of the path, they found a cavernous dark square where spotlights illuminated freestanding sculptures.
