Following the success of four previous collaborations, Tommy Hilfiger Denim again called on Maurice van Bakel to create a stunning presentation for its autumn/winter 2004 collection at Bread & Butter in Berlin. The entrance area was constructed from wood stained with a silvery wash and illuminated ‘ice-cubes’. These glass blocks also formed dramatic product displays. In addition, a semi-separate rear area provided a calm, social backdrop for visitors and clients. A cosy atmosphere was created here by covering the walls and floors with felt – a warm contrast to the cool, bright displays. Flat screens showed the latest Hilfiger Denim collection.
